ABOUT "WATER ELEPHANT"

The Water Elephant is the first manually-operated, self -sufficient, maintenance-fee purification system capable of producing drinkable water within 10 seconds of deployment.

It is a creation of the founders of Years of water, an NGO that identified the need of a long term, durable, cost effective and independent solution that will solve the problem of procuring safe drinkable water after years of researching both the politics and realities of water distribution throughout Africa.

The MISSION is to hydrate Africa and other developing countries: one village at a time.

The water elephant produces over 30,000 litres of purified water, which means up to three years of clean water for a family.

1 out of 10 people in the world lack clean, safe water. Half of them are in sub-Saharan Africa. Over 90% live in rural areas. One out of three rural water supply systems is not working at any given time. Household solutions are proven to be significantly more effective in preventing diarrhea.

It is self sufficient, easy to use and perfectly safe: within approximately 8 Seconds, it destroys any bacteria, virus and protozoan and starts providing drinkable water in a flow of 1.5 litres/minute.
